Pearce speaking French to you in the hallway, and you have no clue what she has said?
Those were the days of long school hours, when all you wanted was a summer free of books
and teachers. When our favorite song was "Strawberry Wine" and we all loved the movie "Scream".
Who could forget the Thursday discussions of 90210 with Fritz? The hilarious fashion show
rave? How everyone came to the football games to see the band perform at halftime?
Remember the talent show and The Watts?
Ours was a class of over-achievers, a class of students far different from the one that came
before us and the one that so quickly followed us. We took the Spirit Trophy four years running, a legend in Manteo High School
history. We led the marching band to more first place trophies than Manteo High School had ever seen. We had athletes who
were also our top students. We had it all.
